If you love connecting with nature this is definitely the place . During week days it’s calm and serene you can cycle, skate and walk on the paved trails or engage in sports (basketball, volleyball, long tennis , baseball courts available) , bring kids to the playground, seat by the water and journal or read; It’s absolutely beautiful. Crowded over the weekends and sometimes no parking space
I loved this park. It's huge and I love how it has a variety of stations for the kids to play on. They have a playground for older kids as well as one for toddlers and babies. Its very clean as well, the bathrooms and the picnic areas are tidy.
We had our work hangout at this park. Easy to locate. Very neat park. This park has different sport facilities e.g basketball court , lawn tennis court, volleyball , open field where we played kickball ( had so much fun ).They also have pavilion for your event.
Fun place to go. There are so many things you can do. There’s a baseball field, 2 tennis courts, a basketball court, volleyball court, place with a roof on the top to host parties under, sand pits, and a whole kids playground area. I really wish they would maintain these things more though. Like the courts are beat up, the nets on the volleyball and tennis courts are maintained by the people that come to play(to the best of our abilities). It’s a great park but from what I hear it’s considered to be “ghetto” which is funny but kinda true considering the things I’ve seen happen there. Great park, just don’t be out there late night unless you’re with a big group. 8/10
Very large , sprawling park with lots of features. There are tennis courts, baseball fields, a gazebo with charcoal grill, and sand volleyball courts. Everything looks well maintained and parking seemed to be easy to find. I didn't see a restroom but there might be one somewhere near the playground. The walking trail winds through the woods near the creek for a good distance. It's a fine place to spend a warm, sunny afternoon.
One of my favorite trails: Fish Creek Trail. It is beautifully designed, kept clean, and not overrun. You can bike or skate on the all paved trail. We get a great workout and a major nature boost. We typically start at the trailhead off Matthew Rd in Grand Prairie and take it all the way to Cravens Park. It is about 14 miles round-trip. There are a few slight elevations and nice variations of the trail.
This is an amazing park to watch the kiddos play baseball. Also had a big veranda where you can seat lots of people to cookout. There is a walking trail that you can walk on and take in the beautiful view.
Nice family/community park complete with ball fields and playground. Here for a baseball league photo shoot.
